The Conveyancing Department is a relatively new addition to the Practice (8 years old) and came about after happy client’s, local estate agencies and other connections we have asking if we did Conveyancing or if we would consider it. They liked the friendly and straightforward service we had provided through their litigation claim and wanted the same friendly, approachable service when buying/selling or re-mortgaging.

As a result of these requests The Conveyancing Department was opened and within the first 12 months we saw over 300 matters come into the Practice. This was not a growth rate we were expecting, we were also not expecting to be receiving instructions from clients locally and nationally, but we did, even as far down as Cornwall (with the client deciding to come and visit us when he came to visit his parents in the area)

From the opening of the Department, we have worked tirelessly to obtain awards that are issued to a well run Conveyancing Department. These awards are not easy to achieve and take a lot of hard work to secure.

One of those such awards is LEXCEL (Lexcel is the Law Society's legal practice quality mark promoting a quality management approach for client service and how to run a legal practice).

Our Lexcel award was granted to us after days of assessment in July 2016. We have undergone annual reviews since and passed on each occasion.

After being award Lexcel we did not leave the matter there. We began working towards achieving the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Standard Accreditation mark (CQS). We were pleased to confirm this was awarded to us in September 2017, and was a significant step in the development of the Conveyancing Department and in respect of Lexcel, a development of the Practice as a whole.
