In relative terms the Conveyancing Department is a new addition to the Practice and came about after happy client’s, local estate agencies and other connections we have asking if we did Conveyancing or if we would consider it, they liked the friendly and straightforward service we had provided throughout their accident claim and wanted the same friendly, approachable service when buying/selling or re-mortgaging.
As a result of these requests The Conveyancing Department was opened and within the first 12 months we had seen over 300 matters come into the Practice, this was not a growth rate we were expecting, we were also not expecting to be receiving instructions from clients locally and nationally, but we did, even as far down as Cornwall (with the client deciding to come and visit us when he came to visit his parents in the area)
From the opening of the Department, we have worked tirelessly in trying to obtain awards that are issued to a well run Conveyancing Department. These awards are not easy to receive and take a lot of hard work to secure.
One of those such awards is LEXCEL (Lexcel is the Law Society's legal practice quality mark promoting a quality management approach for client service and how to run a legal practice). This was our first step.
Our Lexcel award was granted to us after days of assessment, over 12 months ago. This was the first step in our growth plans. We have just undergone the annual review and again we have passed with flying colours!
After being award Lexcel we did not leave the matter there; we then began working towards achieving the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Standard Accreditation mark (CGS). We are very please to confirm this has also been awarded to us and is seen as a significant step in the development of the Conveyancing Department and in respect of Lexcel, a development of the Practice as a whole.
At A2 Solicitors, to ensure the highest of standards in so far as service is concerned, we employ fully qualified Licensed Conveyancers who have approximately 10 years’ experience in property as well as the formal Licensed Conveyancing Qualifications. We do our utmost to answer emails and calls as soon as possible to keep the client up to date.
To ensure this, your property transaction will be dealt with by a Licensed Conveyancer throughout and again you will have direct telephone numbers and emails for the person dealing with your file.
As the business has expanded and the Lexcel and CQS awards have been received by us, our Mortgage Panel membership has risen. We are now able to act for clients with a mortgage offer from almost any provider but we are specifically on the Panel of approved Solicitors for, but not limited to, Lloyds Bank, Halifax, Santander, Bank of Ireland, Tesco, Post Office, Barclays, Chelsea Building Society, HSBC, Nat West, Royal Bank of Scotland, Newcastle Building Society, TSB Bank, Virgin money, Yorkshire Building Society to name just a few.
